Rideshare driver tax calculator
Estimate how much tax to set aside each month so you're never caught off guard — as an MEI or as a self-employed driver without a company.
The MEI's DAS is fixed: 5% of the minimum wage (social security) + R$ 5 (service tax). It only changes when the minimum wage changes — that's why it's an editable field here. MEI ceiling: R$ 81,000/year.
MEI: how much the driver pays per month
As a rideshare driver registered as an MEI (individual micro-entrepreneur), the tax is the DAS, a fixed monthly amount: 5% of the minimum wage (the social security part) plus R$ 5 of service tax. It doesn't depend on how much you billed that month — it only changes when the minimum wage changes. The MEI revenue ceiling is R$ 81,000 per year; go over it and you have to move to another tax bracket.
Self-employed, without a company
Without a company (CNPJ), you file through the Carnê-Leão. Passenger transport has its own deduction rule and the income-tax table changes every year, so here the calculator works with a reserve as a percentage of your profit — a practical way to set the tax money aside. Fine-tune the percentage with your accountant.
This math, automatic, on top of Uber
The JOBU app is a floating bubble that sits on top of Uber, 99 or Waze. You tap, type the distance and the fare, and see the net profit instantly — without leaving the map or opening a browser. Want to be notified at launch?
