Privacy Policy

What the site does NOT do

• It doesn't ask for sign-up, login, name, ID or email to use the calculators.
• It doesn't send the values you type anywhere — the calculation is 100% local.
• These calculators don't use ad pixels or remarketing, and we don't sell data to third parties.
• The fonts, icons and calculators are still served from jobu.com.br itself — only Analytics (below) calls an outside server.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the site and which calculators get used the most — not to identify you. This sets a cookie in your browser and sends navigation information (page viewed, device type, approximate region) to Google. We've turned off Google's ad signals (Google Signals and ad personalization) in this setup, so this data doesn't turn into an ad anywhere else. The values you type into the calculators aren't part of this — they never leave your browser, with or without Analytics.

If you'd rather not be counted in our stats, a tracker blocker works, or use Google's official Analytics opt-out add-on.

What is saved (only on your device)

For your convenience, the site keeps a few configuration fields in your browser's local storage (localStorage) — for example, your car's fuel consumption or the salary you entered. That data never leaves your device, never reaches us, and can be erased at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser.

PWA and offline use

The site can be "installed" as an app (PWA) and works offline. That uses a local cache in your browser, again without sending anything to us.

The blog and the WordPress tools

The blog (/blog/) and the tools at /ferramentas/ run on a different system and show Google AdSense ads, besides using Google Analytics and Tag Manager. What that records is described in the site's Privacy Policy (in Portuguese). Everything written above applies to the driver and self-employed calculators in this section.

Third-party links

The site links to app stores and to another product of ours (Wace). When you follow those links, you become subject to the privacy policy of that destination, which we don't control.

Your rights

We don't ask for your name, ID or email. Even so, the IP address and cookie identifier that Google receives can identify you indirectly. Google Analytics keeps aggregate navigation metrics (the section above) under the legal basis of legitimate interest, with ad signals turned off. This policy is about the website. The JOBU Android app has its own: app privacy. Our other published apps each have their own, shown on the store listing.
