JOBU PT

Daily or monthly goal calculator

Instead of adding up what you already drove, this calculator works backwards: say how much net income you want in your pocket, and see how much you need to bill to get there — already with the cost of the car and the tax for your regime.

Your goal

The MEI's DAS is fixed — 5% of the minimum wage (social security) + R$ 5 (service tax) — and is added straight onto the gross needed every month. MEI ceiling: R$ 81,000/year.

Bill per day R$ 0.00

A planning tool, not the exact calculation of your tax. It only uses fuel and maintenance as the cost of the car — if you pay a lease, loan payment, insurance or vehicle tax, add that fixed cost, spread across the days you work, to the cost per km. For the self-employed regime, the tax reserve is an estimate by percentage; see the driver tax calculator to fine-tune it, or talk to an accountant.

Why this calculator works backwards

JOBU's other calculators start from what you already earned — a ride, a revenue figure, an average profit — and show the net that's left. This one works the other way around: you say how much you want in your pocket, and it solves for the gross revenue that supports that target, already adding the cost of the car per km and the tax for your regime.

How the required gross revenue is calculated

First comes the cost of the car for the period: km driven × cost per km (the same calculation — fuel divided by consumption, plus maintenance — as the ride margin calculator). Then comes the tax for your regime: for the MEI, the DAS is a fixed monthly amount (5% of the minimum wage plus R$ 5 of service tax), added straight onto the gross; for the self-employed regime, the reserve is a percentage of what's left after the cost of the car — being proportional, the gross needed grows by more than the reserve amount itself to hit the same net target.

Official sources for this calculator

The numbers used here come straight from the law and the government's own tables — not our own estimate. Click through to check each one at the original source.

  • 2026 minimum wage & INSS ceiling

Interministerial Ordinance MPS/MF No. 13 (Jan 9, 2026): minimum wage set at R$ 1,621.00 and the INSS contribution ceiling at R$ 8,475.55, with brackets adjusted by the 3.90% INPC index.

  • Where the MEI DAS's 5% and R$5 come from

Receita Federal's official yearly update of MEI amounts: the monthly DAS adds 5% of the current minimum wage (social security) + R$ 5.00 in service tax for service providers — the app driver's case — or R$ 1.00 in ICMS for those reselling goods. The R$5 and R$1 amounts have been fixed since the MEI was created by Complementary Law No. 123/2006, art. 18-A; only the social-security share moves, and only because the minimum wage does.

  • MEI revenue ceiling

Complementary Law No. 123/2006, art. 18-A, §1: R$ 81,000 gross annual revenue ceiling for the MEI (individual micro-entrepreneur) regime — unchanged in 2026.

Frequently asked questions

How is this calculator different from JOBU's other ones?

The others start from what you already billed or earned on a ride and show the net. This one works backwards: you say how much net income you want per day or per month, and it calculates the gross revenue needed, adding the cost of the car per km and the tax for your regime.

Why does the MEI's DAS behave differently from the self-employed reserve in this calculation?

The MEI's DAS is a fixed amount per month — 5% of the minimum wage plus R$ 5 of service tax — so it's added straight onto the gross needed. The self-employed reserve is a percentage, so it also scales up: to keep the same net target, the gross has to grow by more than just the reserve amount in currency.

What counts as the "cost of the car" in this calculator?

Just fuel and maintenance per km, the same fields as the ride margin calculator. If you have a fixed cost — a car lease, loan payment, insurance, vehicle tax — add it, spread across the days you work, to the cost per km before calculating your goal.
